“Deus Ex meets Sonic the Hedgehog.”
Steampunk crime adventure The Swindle is on its way to the PC, developer Size Five Games has announced.
It’s a physics-based platformer that sees you attempting to break into various facilities, thieve loot and then make your escape without getting caught. You’ll then be able to spend the spoils on new upgrades that grant you access to hitherto inaccessible areas.
According to Size Five boss Dan Marshall, it “plays a little bit like Deus Ex mixed with Sonic the Hedgehog.”

“How I see our whole brand, our whole Angry Birds franchise – I definitely see the film potential as a long-term commitment,” said Heijari.

Bastion! PopCap! Grinding!
Good afternoon and welcome to three-quarters of a century of the Eurogamer.net podcast! Not in years, thank God.
This week, erstwhile host Tom Champion finds a spare moment to step in as guest guest host, because Tom Bramwell was too busy talking about what games to buy with Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling. He’s joined by reviews editor and acting deputy editor (think of him as Ellie Gibson, but childless and male) Oli Welsh and content editor John Bedford.
Controversially, the trio (well, two of them) set punditry aside briefly to talk about a game they’ve been playing. John and Oli have been working through Supergiant Games’ beautiful Xbox Live Arcade adventure Bastion, as reviewed by Brammers today. It is style or substance? And do we have either?

Darksiders 2 dev explains why.
Sony’s PlayStation 3 has been described as a “pain in the ass” to make games for – nearly five years after its launch.
Marvin Donald, game director at Darksiders II developer Vigil, told Eurogamer the studio is forced to do “wacky stuff” on Sony’s console.
“It’s a pain in the ass to work on,” he said. “Five years later, getting used to it? That means it’s a pain in the ass.
