The Just Cause movie is the origin story of game protagonist Rico Rodriguez, and hopes to emulate Bond flick Casino Royal.
In an interview on the Just Cause website, L+E Pictures’ Adrian Askarieh and Eric Eisner explain why Just Cause is ripe for Hollywood adaptation.
“It’s a great action/adventure with a strong central character; two must have elements for a good action film,” Askarieh said.

Multiplayer-focused FPS download only.
The decision not to sell Section 8 sequel Prejudice in shops has been made; TimeGate will offer the game online only, for 1200 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360 and $14.99 on PC and PS3.
Pound sterling and Euro prices weren’t given, but 1200 MSP usually translates to £9.99/£12.99 on PS3.
The decision, TimeGate no doubt hopes, will have gamers scratching their heads and asking how a jam-packed game like this isn’t on shop shelves and priced at £40. That probably won’t happen, but there is a lot on offer in Section 8: Prejudice, which serves as a neat reminder of how far the console download space has come.

Only eight of 14 promised games released.
Last month a group of developers got together to launch the Xbox Live Indie Games Winter Uprising, promising a deluge of quality games in the first week of December. Alas, it seems things didn’t quite go to plan.
The initiative originally promised that “the first week of December is going to be the best week of gaming the service has ever seen.” However, of the 14 games slated for release, only eight have actually made it out of the gate so far.
The campaign’s organiser Robert Boyd, told Edge Online, “Several of the big hitters in the promotion haven’t been released yet for a number of reasons a bug found at the last minute, an incorrectly checked feature on the game description, or just plain not being finished yet.
