Back to the Future trailer feels like the start of the fourth movie. Enough said (Back to the Future (2010))
Dec 3, 2010Okay, maybe not enough. I do get paid to do this, after all.
Basically, the first trailer for Telltale’s Back to the Future adventure game series has hit, and it’s a stunner. It’s not just the uber-authentic voice acting, by Christopher Lloyd and a Marty McFly sound-a-like so accurate that Michael J. Fox might as well sign over the rights to his own identity. It’s not just the opening plot details, which could have been lifted straight out of the original trilogy. As much as all that, in fact probably moreso, it’s the way the tight pacing and brilliantly authentic use of the original soundtrack’s cues immediately make this feel like a 100% genuine piece of the trilogy.
Come! Come join me after the jump, where I will show you what I mean. …

Above: Playing peek-a-boo with a invisibility hack for Kinect
Although researchers at the University of Berkeley have managed to develop material that can bend light to cloak objects a few years ago, the sorts of invisibility body cloaks you’ve seen in Predator or Harry Potter remain in the world of fiction. But one man has managed to re-create the effect of an invisibility cloak with a Kinect hack… … -
Super Meat Boy developer Team Meat has just updated the Steam version of the platformer to include Tofu Boy as a playable character. If you haven’t been following the juicy drama, a rivalry between Team Meat and PETA blew up after the animal rights organization released Super Tofu Boy, a scathing Flash game parody of the original, which encourages a meat-free diet.
It turns out that PETA played right into Team Meat’s hands. “First off I want to thank Peta for helping us turn Super Meat Boy into a house hold name and of course for making themselves look quite foolish in the process,” said Team Meat’s Edmund McMillen in an official response concerning PETA’s release of the game parody. You can read McMillen’s entire response and find out how to play as Tofu Boy inside… …
