Why? Those pesky “last minute issues”, Curve Studios said.

Sony has apologised for misleading PlayStation Plus members into believing they could keep PS3 game DLC when their subscriptions lapsed.
On the European PlayStation blog on 23rd June 2010, Sony’s James Thorpe wrote: “Each month there will be two dynamic themes, two premium avatars and premium game elements/add-ons for you to download and many of these will be exclusive to members only.
“These are yours to keep forever once you have downloaded them.”

Developer Trion Worlds signs multi-year deal with the publisher for its upcoming MMORPG.
Trion Worlds, the developer behind upcoming MMORPG Rift, has today announced that it has signed a multi-year deal with Ubisoft for the game’s distribution across France, Benelux, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Nordic region.

The man behind PS2 and Xbox shooter Black appointed creative director at City Interactive.
Stuart Black, the director responsible for the PS2 and Xbox shooter Black, has been appointed creative director of developer City Interactive’s new London Studio. The studio, which was behind Sniper: Ghost Warrior, has recently licensed Crytek’s CryEngine 3 for two games scheduled for release over the next two years – Black will be in charge of the development of a WWII FPS which may well be one of the two CE3 projects.

Square Enix has announced what European gamers will get if they pre-order science fiction RPG Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
Those who pre-order the standard edition will receive the Explosive Mission Pack, Square Enix has announced.
It includes a new mission with a “special” cameo appearance from one of the original Deus Ex characters, plus the Automatic Unlocking Device, the M-28 Utility Remote-Detonated Explosive Device (UR-DED) and the Linebacker G-87 multiple shot grenade launcher.

Social game giant overhauls FarmVille for its debut in the territory.US-based social game company Zynga will release a localised version of its Facebook game FarmVille in Japan this month.
Inside Social Games reports that FarmVillage will be launched on the Mixi social network which caters to mobile phone users. The game features a new art-style though the gameplay is largely unchanged from the Facebook original.
