Move’s will be “damn better”, says Sony dev.
One of the chief architects of Sony’s motion sensing platform PlayStation Move reckons the upcoming Star Wars game for rival motion sensing add-on Kinect won’t be much kop.
Anton Mikhailov, a software engineer at Sony Computer Entertainment America’s research and development department and the brains behind the algorithms that make the EyeToy camera interpret movement of the Move controller, reckons “there’s no way Kinect can do a good lightsaber game”.
And while LucasArts and Sony are yet to announce a Move-compatible Star Wars game, Mikhailov guaranteed, “It’ll be damn better than Kinect’s.”

Sony issues statement regarding gameplay problems.Gran Turismo 5 publisher Sony has addressed problems affecting the game’s performance.
The company says in a statement on its official site today: “Currently the online services of Gran Turismo 5 (GT5) is experiencing some extreme online traffic congestion.”

Agito, Square Enix’s mysterious Final Fantasy XIII spin-off for PlayStation Portable, is shrouded in mystery, but now development on The 3rd Birthday has finished up details have trickled out of Japan.
Agito’s worldview is described as a “fantasy conflict between four sides”, according to tweets by director Hajime Tabata (translated by Andriasang).
Battles are “deadly clashes between weapons and magic”. The game also looks at the two sides of reality, the ordinary and extraordinary.

Fallout: New Vegas’ first downloadable add-on, Dead Money, raises the level cap to 35 and adds new perks and achievements.
The Xbox 360-exlcusive DLC, due out on 21st December, adds “hours of extended gameplay” according to a new post on Fallout’s official website.

Sony is sorry, but the high demand coupled with GT5’s constant communication with the internet is causing all sorts of problems that spill over even into single-player races.
Sony’s temporary solution? Disable your PS3 internet connection.

Report suggests PlayStation boss Kaz Hirai.
Gargantuan consumer electronics company Sony is looking for a new president, according to reports, and PlayStation boss Kaz Hirai could be set for the job.
Sony wants to shake things up a bit and alleviate the workload of Welsh-born CEO Sir Howard Stringer, according to Bloomberg (thanks, Kotaku).
Sony reportedly hopes installing fresh blood as Stringer’s deputy will lighten his load and give whoever gets the job the chance to show what they’re made of.
