First game in series of flight sims developed by Trickstar Games premiering at next week’s Electronic Entertainment Expo; title due by 2012.
Yesterday, peripheral maker Mad Catz announced its intention to not only make peripherals for games, but also to develop and publish games themselves. Now, the wheels are up on that initiative.
Mad Catz today announced it will publish War Wings: Hell Catz, the first title in a line of War Wings games. Developed by Australian studio Trickstar Games (International Cricket 2010), Hell Catz is slated for release in 2012.
Mad Catz did not offer much in the way of detail concerning the new game or the series, but it did note that the War Wings games will “explore critical eras in aviation combat.”
As for Mad Catz’s just-announced internal studio ThunderHawk Studios, that shop is continuing development of its massively multiplayer online flight simulator. The title is slated to debut in 2012, but it does not yet have a name.
Mad Catz says War Wings: Hell Catz will be shown at the 2011 Electronic Entertainment Expo, which runs from June 7-9 in Los Angeles. For more on the upcoming show, check out GameSpot’s E3 2011 hub.
