The Last Story, Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi’s Wii-exclusive RPG, has topped the Japanese sales charts in its first week on shelves.
According to the latest Enterbrain figures, as reported by Andriasang, the Mistwalker/Nintendo collaboration moved a relatively healthy 115,000 copies to beat SEGA’s PSP RPG Valkyria Chronicles 3 to the number one spot.
Whether that’s enough to encourage Nintendo to bring the game to Europe and the US remains to be seen. Last month UK boss David Yarnton announced there were currently no plans to localise the game, explaining “It has to be viable”.
