Plus: Ghost Recon, Rabbids, Splinter Cell.
Ubisoft is lining up film tie-ins of three of its biggest franchises: Assassin’s Creed, Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell.
According to a Variety interview with senior figures at the French publisher’s new film and TV production arm, the projects have all attracted significant interest from Hollywood talent, with scripts hoped for by the end of the year.
“We want to keep ownership, retain control over the film content, and we’re open to work with studios on the development of our projects, and eventually collaborate on the pre-casting, pre-budget and script,” explained Ubisoft Motion Pictures chief Jean-Julien Baronnet.
